The Darius Henderson and Rob Hulse transfers were completed this week after strong rumours for most of last week with the fee for Henderson apparently starting at £2 million with add ons.
The Hulse deal is not the worst business the club has ever done especially when you consider the time remaining on his contract and on the surface the fee involved is probably about right.
Henderson is the kind of striker who will put himself in the thick of it and he has had a few battles with Chris Morgan whenever we have played Watford he is the kind of player we have been missing for a while up front and will probably be an ideal foil for both James Beattie and Billy Sharp.
Sometimes its not just about sticking two good strikers together how they work as a partnership is important too I never felt that Beattie and Hulse clicked together although in fairness they didnt have that long to develop an understanding.
The transfer activity is probably more or less done apart from the outstanding wideman whoever that turns out to be but im sure the manager will want things wrapped up as soon as possible.
