New Home Shirt Verdict

Pictures of the new United home shirt for next season (2008/09) was released not long after the end of last season and as is usually the case when a new shirt comes out it can take a while to develop a liking for it.

There can also be a negative effect on the appearance of the shirt if there is no sponsors logo in place and it can look a touch bare without one.

I have to admit that I am starting to like the new home shirt now although that does not extend to the black and silver away shirt just yet although I will no doubt develop an appreciation for that as well given time.

Obviously new shirts coming out every other season (sometimes more frequently) is all a money making exercise as if they stuck to everyones favourite design nobody would bother buying the shirts and sales would drop like a stone.
