No Semi Final This Year

After being highly unimpressed with the entertainment on offer from the first game no doubt Gary Lineker and the rest of the BBC pundits heaved a collective groan when it was announced that the replay against Boro was being shown live.

It was another dull encounter and they were duly critical but in fairness both games were scrappy to say the least and I was thankful that I only paid to see the first game at the lane quite what the neutrals must have made of the two games I can only guess.

Paddy Kenny was unlucky with their/his freak goal no doubt it will end up on a Christmas goalkeepers gaffes DVD as always it was unlucky Sheff United although it was a shame really because I fancied us to nick it if it went to penalties.

The only remaining highlight left of what has been a hugely disappointing season is the return derby against Wednesday where hopefully we will see a major improvement in terms of performance and result compared to the pathetic showing from the first game at the sty.

While it has been refreshing to see the players showing a bit more passion the goal drought is somewhat concerning to say the least we are blessed with an embarrassment of riches in the striking department but we seem to have a problem scoring goals although that in my opinion is down to a lack of creativity as we are not exactly creating bucket loads of chances.
